Gaadisa Gummi Foundation was established in 2024 even though the idea started over a decade ago through the works done by professor Gufu Oba during his tenure at the Norwegian University of Life Science (now retired) together with a group of passionate individuals who wanted to make a difference in the lives of pastoralist communities in Nothern Kenya. Our founders recognized the importance of education in transforming lives and saw the need for access to quality education in pastoralist communities. Since our founding, we have been working tirelessly to provide access to education, vocational training, and life skills to pastoralist communities.
